Bayan Telecommunications Holdings Corporation (Bayan Holdings) owns Bayan Telecommunications, Inc. (Bayan), the leading new telecommunications operator in the Philippines providing a full range of services which includes local exchange, domestic long distance, international long distance, data services and payphone services.

Established in October 1993, Bayan is the only telecommunications company that completed its local exchange roll out commitment a year and a half ahead of schedule. Bayan's franchise covers Quezon City, Malabon, Valenzuela, Manila, Southern Mindanao (Davao and General Santos), Northern Mindanao, Bicol and Eastern Visayas.

Bayan’s superior customer service, backed by service guarantees for such services as BayanDSL and local exchange carrier (fixed lines), makes it the preferred service provider in its franchise areas. It also pioneered the mass rollout of Bayan Wireless Landline, an innovative limited area wireless call service that allows unlimited Bayan-to-Bayan calls at a low, flat monthly rate.
As of December 31, 2008, Benpres held 69.1% Bayan Holdings.

2008 Highlights
